The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC), administrator of the NNPC/Shell/Total/Agip Joint Venture (SPDC JV) reports the initiation of the 2016 LiveWIRE Nigeria Program particularly focused at young people in Ogoniland.
LiveWIRE is a young venture improvement program upheld by the SPDC JV. The system plans to move, energize and bolster young entrepreneurs within the age of 18-35 to begin their own businesses through the arrangement of training and startup capital.
2016 LiveWIRE Nigeria Programme
The LiveWIRE programme goals are to:
Empower youths to build up businesses by giving business planning and administration methods through the ‘Become a Successful Business Owner Course’.
Give business startup gifts to applicants with the best strategies for success.
Connect successful candidates to outsiders like banks, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and united monetary establishments.
Give a volunteer coaching programme for successful candidates

Pre-startup:- Value and Organise Yourself (VOY)
Bright Ideas workshop
Business Planning & Management (Become a Successful Business Owner)
Business Startup (How to access finance & technology)
Post-startup (Mentoring, Incubation, Market linkages)
Applications Eligibility
Male and female applicants who are indigenes of communities in the following 4 Ogoni LGAs in Rivers State: Eleme, Tai, Gokana, and Khana aged between 18-35;
Must possess a university degree or HND
Must possess the NYSC discharge certificate or certificate of exemption;
Must be resident in Rivers State;
Must have an innovative business idea; and
Must desire to own and manage a business.
